Taipei night view restaurant

This is my first 5-star spot for Taipei. Astonishing view on top of a hill. One Australian friend told me that it looks like LA!

This restaurant has below-average service. But food is fine. View is awesome. I will recommend each foreign friend to come here in their trip to Taipei.

Ari Gold

I'm All About You這首,沒有上面這首Gay MV的歌,就這樣不了了之。

Burma or Myanmar / Rangoon or Yangon.

Here I just want to do something in memory of those died in Burmese monks' protest these days. Personally, I feel it's a very different pretest since it's in a country with 80-90% Buddhist in population. Anyway, hope Aung San Suu Kyi can still play an important part in Burmese democracy and its peace.

As for the answer, according to BBC, this country is
known as Myanmar which is recognised by the United Nations, and by countries such as France and Japan. But United States and the UK. doesn't recognize the legitimacy of the regime that changed the name. That's why we can see both names of this country appears in the news.

Similarly and in the meantime of the
ruling military junta's changes, Rangoon also became Yangon.

Manaus & Amazon

Good bye, Taiwan. Good morning, Taiwan.

Mother Nature

Sao Paulo x2

Right, I'm in Sao Paulo again.
Unlike last time, I fly with JAL from Taipei to Tokyo and transit to Sao Paulo with a stopover in JFK, New York. This route is quite time-saving, only takes me about 30 hours in the air. There are some "first-times" in this trip.
1.First time in east coast.
The immigration procedure in JFK is much better and efficient than LAX. Those officers are very helpful, too.
2.First time with Japan Airlines.
Food is definitely an characteristic of JAL. Japanese food is known for its complexity and delication. JAL brings the delication to airplane meal, like Japanese noodles and savory. They also have the most cutlery I have ever seen in the airplane with chop sticks, knife, folk, and 2 spoons. Quite a nice experience.

It's autumn in Sao Paulo now and everyone wears long sleeves on the street. The Pope is here as well. Apparently, the Brazilian government managed to keep the streets cleaner than those when I visited in February.

Rio bum in Kenting

Well, first of all, I have to thank you all. There are more and more people from interesting places visiting this blog. I don't know how people from Cambodia or Venezuela know my blog. But....Hi, you guys!

I was busy doing my part-time translator job for National Geography Channel at night. So I failed to update my blog these days. Please forgive me. I didn't know some of you check the updates here so often. I put up some pics that I took just last weekend when I visit Kenting with some other friends. Kenting is almost my second hometown. I spent 1/3 year there when I was 20. That summer I worked as a waiter in Chateau, a luxury beach hotel in Kenting. Then I worked in Chez PaPa, an exotic French restaurant. I met lots of people at that time, learned how to make Latte, Cappuccino, Vodka lime, and all kinds of Belgium beers. I was a sophomore student of Taiwan University. It's hard for others to imagine a young NTU guy would do things like this. And....ALL BY MYSELF! I think I'm the kind of guy chasing my dream by all means.

Anyway, I visited Kenting again last weekend. It changes a lot. More shops and visitors. I change, too. I'm no longer the naive young man. I had several unsuccessful relationship. I got an MBA degree. I trained my body well. I traveled to many land that the naive young Pon would never know he will step on it ever.

Things change, people change too. Who knows what the old Pon would think of when he visit Kenting 5 years later?
